ASCS supplied the entire stone package for the Adelade Cobb Ward Sculpture Hall Renovation, including all fabrication and installation piece drawings.
The project entailed the provision of a new gallery opening with self closing fire doors. This meant that the old stone portal would be covered. ASCS made detailed measurements of the old portal and had an exact replica produced out of a Greek marble called Ritsona Gold. A new stairway was also added to the Sculpture Hall in order to connect Kirkwood Hall via the Sculpture Hall to the new Bloch Building.
The photos below tell the story from quarry to finished hall. Thanks to Mr. Bo Guydosh, Project Manager and Architect Hans Nettleblad, BNMI for trusting us to find and source the stone for this project.
